The Dr. Pickles Method
DAY 1
If your artist doesn't put second skin on, once you get home clean your fresh tattoo with the Dr Pickles "Antibacterial Foam Wash" & once dry apply the Dr Pickles “Take Home Film Sachet”. After 24 hours, remove the film in the shower by gently pulling it downwards. This is important, as removing it dry may cause irritation.
DAY 2-3
After you remove your second skin wash your fresh ink with the Dr Pickles “Antibacterial Foam Wash.”
This wash can be used 2-3 times daily.
Our Foam Wash will protect your tattoo from infection with its gentle antibacterial properties. The aloe provides essential hydration to freshly-inked skin, while Hemp oil's omega-6 fatty acids delivers a nourishing boost, helping to reduce inflammation, repairs skin barrier & moisturize without clogging pores.
DAY 2-14 and so on
Pat completely dry before applying a thin layer of Dr Pickles “Tattoo Balm” to your tattoo very regularly until it is completely healed (this is usually around 14 days)
Our Tattoo Balm is a blend of Australian pawpaw, D-Panthenol, and Safflower Seed Oil to create the ideal environment for healing. Pawpaw’s natural antiseptic properties soothes & protects irritated skin, while D-Panthenol promotes skin barrier repair, helping to hydrate the outermost layer of the skin & lock in moisture. Safflower Seed Oil, strengthens the skin’s barrier to prevent moisture loss and encourage smooth, scab-free healing.
PRO TIPS
Apply a thin layer of Tattoo Balm, just enough to make the tattoo shine. Continue using Dr. Pickles Original Formula Tattoo Balm as directed until your tattoo is fully healed, ensuring optimal care throughout the healing process.
During this time, it’s important to avoid swimming, excessive sweating, exposure to dirty environments, and direct sunlight to protect your tattoo & promote faster healing.
