Dr Pickles Tattoo Aftercare & Lifestyle Products was born out of a passion for tattoos and a commitment to providing a better healing solution for ink enthusiasts. Founded by Luke Soden, a tattoo enthusiast himself, the journey began when he observed a common practice of using nappy rash cream or petroleum jelly on fresh tattoos due to the absence of a suitable alternative. Recognising the need for a specialised product tailored to the delicate process of healing fresh tattoos, Luke embarked on a mission to create something unique and effective.

Driven by the desire to offer a high-quality, Australian-made tattoo aftercare solution to the tattoo community, Dr Pickles was established. The journey involved extensive research and experimentation with existing products, leading to the formation of a dedicated team committed to combine the best attributes of available solutions into something truly groundbreaking.

The outcome of this endeavor was the birth of the Original Formula Tattoo Balm, a product that combines the active ingredient D-Panthenol with real Australian papaya. This innovative approach captured the attention of customers and firmly established Dr Pickles as an industry trailblazer.

From its humble beginnings, selling in small boutiques and tattoo studios, Dr Pickles has evolved into a global brand with a diverse product range. The success of the Original Formula Tattoo Balm paved the way for the company to expand its offerings, reaching customers worldwide and securing a prominent place on the shelves of major retailers like Woolworths and Coles.

Remaining true to its principles and commitment to excellence, Dr Pickles underwent a rebranding process and introduced products not only for customers but also for tattoo artists. The product line includes the Antibacterial Foam Wash, Pickle Wrap as well as the Tattoo Glide.

Today, Dr Pickles proudly boasts a diverse product line, including an apparel range, and continues to be a pioneer in the market.
