Three Different Tattoo Techniques
Tattooing has been around for thousands of years and has evolved significantly over time. There are now many different tattoo techniques that artists can use to create unique and beautiful tattoos. Here are three common tattoo techniques:
- Hand-poked tattoos: Also known as "stick and poke," this is the most traditional tattoo technique. It involves using a needle and ink to manually puncture the skin and create a design. Because the artist is not using a machine, hand-poked tattoos tend to be a little less precise and may take longer to complete. However, they can also have a more organic, handmade look.

- Rotary machine tattoos: This is the most common tattoo technique used today. It involves using a tattoo machine, which is essentially a small electric motor that drives a needle up and down to puncture the skin and inject ink. Rotary machines are highly precise and can create very clean lines and smooth shading.

- Microblading: Microblading is a semi-permanent tattoo technique that involves using a handheld tool to create thin, hair-like strokes in the skin. This technique is often used to create natural-looking eyebrows for people with thin or sparse eyebrows.
Each of these tattoo techniques has its own benefits and drawbacks, and the right one for you will depend on your specific needs and preferences. If you're considering getting a tattoo, be sure to do your research and choose an artist who is skilled in the technique you want and don’t forget the most important part of all; Dr Pickles Tattoo Aftercare.
