For a Fresh Tattoo:
After completing the tattoo, most artists recommend following the Dr. Pickles Tattoo Aftercare Method for fresh tattoos:
Remove Tattoo Wrap or Second Skin Tattoo Film after 24 hours.
Before touching your fresh tattoo, sanitise your hands with Dr. Pickles Deluxe Antibacterial Foaming Tattoo Wash (Shake well before use)
Remove Tattoo Wrap gently. Apply several pumps of Antibacterial Foam wash to gently remove all fluids and blood with clean hands.
Pat the tattoo dry with clean paper towel, and let it air until the skin starts to feel tight and dry (1-2 mins). Repeat this process 2-3 times daily to reduce risk of irritation.
Apply a thin layer of Dr. Pickles Original Formula Tattoo Balm to your dry tattoo. The tattooed skin should have a slight shine. Repeat 2-3 times daily or when skin feels dry. Continue the wash and heal routine until the tattoo is completely healed (usually around 21 days).
